I grew up near the beach and used to go there every day in the summer. I kept a glass jar full of things I found beachcombing: sea glass, mermaid’s purses, whelk egg cases. It smelled terrible, but I loved to open it up and pour out my treasure. My finds are animated here, as I imagine them before they washed up on the beach, celebrating together.
